I completed my M.S. and Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering at Stanford School of Engineering. I also hold a minor in Management Science & Engineering. Earlier, I graduated from the University of Maryland College Park with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and a triple minor in Technology Entrepreneurship, Rhetoric Communication, and Engineering Leadership.

I am currently a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Management and Organizations department at the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, working with Hatim Rahman. Together, we are compiling an archive of over 2,000 digital diary entries from participants in a technical re-skilling program and leveraging AI and LLMs to share how this novel approach can enhance management research, theory building, and practice.

How does a mechanical engineer find themself working at a business school? Good question. My background in manufacturing and West African roots inspired my graduate research in understanding the obstacles standing in the way of a thriving ecosystem of local African entrepreneurship and globally-recognized innovation emerging from the continent. I am interested in what organizational theory, economic sociology, adult learning, and engineering design all have to say about solving this problem.

I am also a nationally-acclaimed spoken word poet, avid reader (I read 102 books in 2021-but what else was there to do?), and recent inline skating enthusiast!
